Please avoid sending HTML mail to the list. Your mailer is making all 
the IP addresses in your message into links, and when I reply in 
text-only form my mailer tries to expand them.

I think the configuration you're trying to build is... confused. If 
10.0.0.0/24 is the address range you're dedicating to your VPN, why are 
you assigning addresses in that range to systems' ethernet adapters?

(Is this a bridging or routing configuration? What does your OpenVPN 
configuration look like?)
