[Openvpn-users] Using one machine both as server and client

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] Using one machine both as server and client

Hi,
I have my office firewall machine to act as openvpn client to our
production environment, so some internal machines can connect to the
offsite servers (a proper firewall rules applied).

Now, I want to be able to setup the same office firewall as a openvpn
server, so I can connect remotely from my laptop.

The machine runs SuSE 10.1, and openvpn-2.0.5-13.

Do I need to run 2 instances of openvpn? Do I have to use different tun devices?

Also, can I use one and the same server key for both firewalls? What
about the client certificates (I have client cert. for me to connect
to production firewall).

I could not find online examples for such a situations, so any advice
is highly appreciated.

Windows is a 32-bit extension to a 16-bit graphical shell for an 8-bit
operating system originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor by a
2-bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.
