The man page clearly specifies this in the entry for the client-config-dir directive: "After a connecting client has been authenticated, OpenVPN will look in this directory for a file having the same name as the client's X509 common name." Thus, it is the common name used to specify the file in which directives will be found. The man page also specifies a mechanism for using the username passed in via auth-user-pass in place of the common name, via the username-as-common-name directive. Please read the man page before referring to the mailing list, and *particularly* before criticizing the documentation on the -dev list. _______________________________________________ Openvpn-users mailing list Openvpn-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openvpn-users Warning: require_once(../../../archive_common.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/openvpn/domains/openvpn.net/public_html/archive/openvpn-users/2006-06/msg00048.html on line 196 Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '../../../archive_common.php' (include_path='/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/openvpn/domains/openvpn.net/public_html/archive/openvpn-users/2006-06/msg00048.html on line 196 |
