Even not having any ports (except 123rd) open on the client - I do run the built-in winXP-SP2's firewall - just in case... I switched off any "exceptions" and disabled all ports|holes in it. My OpenVPN server is not in DMZ - it is port-mapped (1194th and 443rd ports) to the public IP.
