Here is a how-to on setting up openvpn with our 2fa system:  http://www.wikidsystems.com/howtos/openvpn_two_factor/.  I suspect it would be the same for RSA.  You could use pam_radius or pam_securid.  There is also some info here: http://openvpn.net/howto.html#auth

I also don't know the answer to the first question, sorry.  But it would seem that if it works in pam, openvpn shouldn't care.  Does it work in pam with other services, such as ssh?
