Thanks for the input.  Hard-headed as I am wont to be, I am still going to
try to see if I can't get it work.  Actually, I think I have the TAP part
coded though I am having trouble getting NDIS to load the driver.  And then
we'll see what testing yields.

Yes, the APIs are definitely different in what is supported in pretty much
everything; I've tried to reuse as much as possible but there is a fair hunk
that is CE-specific.

As for CE being dead, sometimes I think it is, but it continues to show
signs of life -- especially now that smartphone is gaining market share.
Regardless, I'm sure it will always be a minority platform.

If I get it working I'd like to see if you're interested in including it in
the main OpenVPN project, or maybe as a 'contrib' or something.  Well, maybe
let me focus on getting it working at all first before worrying about adding
stuff....
