Hi there,
Using the other connection (comcast) slowed it down. Probable
becuse my uploaded for it is slower. 1 mbits/s compared to 2mbits/
s I have with Verizon. My downloads outside of the tunnel are
fast. I just finished downloading the Slackware 10.2 ISO. The
download average outside the tunnel was around 13.2 mbits/s.
Inside the tunnel it is still around 1.7 mbits/s. I tried the
connection at the university again. Over there I get a little over
10mbits/s though the tunnel, and about the same outside the tunnel.
Did you try with different packet sizes? I would like you to read
the manpage and look at:
--link-mtu n
--tun-mtu n
--tun-mtu-extra n
--mtu-disc type
--mtu-test
--fragment max
--mssfix max
--sndbuf size
--rcvbuf size
--txqueuelen n
Maybe also:
--shaper n
--passtos
--tcp-queue-limit n
If neither of that works, i have no further ideas, other than to let
James take a look at your problem. I think he reads the mailinglist
as well. If it is ever solved, i would like to hear the solution.
