Hi I have just installed openvpn 2.05 and have the basic setup working using the instructions. That is I can ping the 10.8.0.1 server from the 10.8.0.6 client and the other way around. I want to be able to access additional resources on the server side. Continuing the follow the instructions I added the 'push' statement to the server config. This adds the route on the client side. Now, nothing works. I can no longer ping the remote 10.8.0.1 interface or the local address on the server. I also can no longer ping the client 10.8.0.6 from the server. From reading other messages on this list I am assuming that the problem is a missing route on the server side. But what route? Everyone seems to have a different setup. Both of my networks are real (not behind a NAT). I do not have control over the gateways on either end but I do have control of the machines that will be accessible via the vpn (a few servers). I suppose that what I am missing are routes on those machines (which includes the openvpn machine). My config files are the defaults - other than uncommenting the push statement to my server side network. Any help or comments would be very greatly appreciated. I am not sure what else would be helpful to know. Thanks, Scott
