Hello All,
Haven't heard anything back on the list about the new version with the fix
for the openvpn gui that we have been talking about and wanted to make sure
that my email was working so that I can download it when it is ready.
Looking forward to getting it installed.
Well, I'm waiting for you and Erich to try the latest debug version I
created so we know that it solved your problems as well before I release a
new stable version.
The only changes in this debug version is that it prints a few lines to
the log file and the fix of cource.

Btw: Please don't top-post.

Sounds like that might do the trick.....
I guess that having a command-line switch to kill any running instances of
OpenVPN GUI is really not the best solution, but it might be something to
consider for special situations.
maybe something like:
openvpngui.exe --restart
or
openvpngui.exe -- stop
I can't see any other uses for a --restart option other than as an ugly
workaround for bugs and that's the last thing I'd like too see - users
starting to automate a restart of OpenVPN GUI to work around my bugs! I
would prefer to hear if people are having problems with OpenVPN GUI and fix
the bugs instead.
Do you currently have any other problem with OpenVPN GUI that you want to
use the --restart option to work around?
Same for --stop, I wouldn't like to add such an option to work around bugs,
but I might consider adding it if you have any other "real" uses for it.
One use I could see is if you don't want to have OpenVPN GUI running while
you are not connected you might want to have two short-cuts on your
desktop, one to start the VPN and one to stop. The start short-cut can
already be achived by using the --connect option, but currently you can't
create a stop short-cut, the user would have to click the OpenVPN GUI icon
and select Exit.
