I can't see any other uses for a --restart option other than as an ugly workaround for bugs and that's the last thing I'd like too see - users starting to automate a restart of OpenVPN GUI to work around my bugs! I would prefer to hear if people are having problems with OpenVPN GUI and fix the bugs instead. Do you currently have any other problem with OpenVPN GUI that you want to use the --restart option to work around? Same for --stop, I wouldn't like to add such an option to work around bugs, but I might consider adding it if you have any other "real" uses for it. One use I could see is if you don't want to have OpenVPN GUI running while you are not connected you might want to have two short-cuts on your desktop, one to start the VPN and one to stop. The start short-cut can already be achived by using the --connect option, but currently you can't create a stop short-cut, the user would have to click the OpenVPN GUI icon and select Exit. -- _____________________________________________________________ Mathias Sundman (^) ASCII Ribbon Campaign OpenVPN GUI for Windows X NO HTML/RTF in e-mail http://openvpn.se/ / \ NO Word docs in e-mail ____________________________________________ Openvpn-users mailing list Openvpn-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openvpn-users Warning: require_once(../../../archive_common.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/openvpn/domains/openvpn.net/public_html/archive/openvpn-users/2005-09/msg00096.html on line 212 Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '../../../archive_common.php' (include_path='/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/openvpn/domains/openvpn.net/public_html/archive/openvpn-users/2005-09/msg00096.html on line 212 |
