Greetings All,

I we are working to set up Samba and OpenVPN for our users and I would like to know about the install process for Windows users.

Actually, the driving idea is to have a very simple install program that the users can run on their Windows machines which will be pre-configured to connect to our site and so that they can access their files from the Samba connection.

The key is to keep it extremely easy for the customers to get connected.

Any ideas or suggestions on this?

We have a preconfigured Windoze set up which includes a generic client.config file and all necessary files and software to run OpenVPN as a non administrative user. To achieve this, we adapted the installation procedure for the Windoze GUI according to Mathias Sundman's excellent documentation. For authentication we use certificates which are distributed as PKCS#12 files. So it boils down to 2 files only.

cheers

Erich
