On Debian (assuming you are using sarge), the installation for openvpn
2.0 is as easy as: apt-get install openvpn

Once installed use the easy-rsa to generate the keys/certs as required.

To start openvpn: /etc/init.d/openvpn start

It should be that straight-forward
