Hey, I'm trying to get OpenVPN running for the first time. I configured it on the server and on the client and i can ping across the link just fine. The problem is that i cant get the server to route packets. I tried turning on ip forwarding with

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

I am running a custom kernel and don't even have iptables or ipchains installed. Is there any i can check to see if in fact ip forwarding got turned on? Is it possible that i am missing something?

Thanks in advance,
-Mark
