I have 15+ users using OpenVPN 2.0_beta10(server) TCP and UDP tunnels over GPRS/EDGE for 8+ months now daily. We have experienced no significant problems. For the past two months I have two users using Verizon's 1xRTT/EVDO as well with no issues. These guys love the speed too! Users are connecting to Microsoft Exchange server using MAPI, file server, SharePoint, printing to printers, various custom TCP applications and using VoIP SoftPhones(UDP tunnel only). Users are mostly equipped with Sony Ericsson GC82 and GC82 GPRS/EDGE cards. A few users have the Sierra Wireless AirCard 750 and 755s. The Verizon users are using the Sierra Wireless 5220 EVDO card. We're using 2048 bit keys so the initial connection can take over a minute but once its connected it works perfectly. Some users report that Outlook will complain occasionally about losing connection with the server but after a few seconds it will restore its connection and continue on. I've not had the time to upgrade to the 2.0 release but why fix it if ain't broke. ;-) -- Matt Burleigh Senior Systems Engineer Enterprise Integration, Inc. eiisolutions.com 703-236-0790 -----Original Message----- From: openvpn-users-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:openvpn-users-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Erich Titl Sent: Tuesday, May 31, 2005 3:17 AM To: Charles Duffy Cc: openvpn-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [Openvpn-users] Re: Tunnel over GPRS fails Charles Charles Duffy wrote: >Does your routing issue go away if you configure the tap interface >manually (ip-win32 manual + using the properties window of the tap device) >or via netsh (ip-win32 netsh)? > >If the routing issue is solved, but other things are still wonky, a few >add'l questions that might be relevant when using GPRS -- does TCP mode >work? At the moment it (gut)feels like a conflict between the tap driver and the driver for that particular card (Option Fusion) Thanks Erich ____________________________________________ Openvpn-users mailing list Openvpn-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openvpn-users ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Yahoo.
