[Openvpn-users] Port 1194 warnings logged in 2.0

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] Port 1194 warnings logged in 2.0
  • From: /dev/rob0 <rob0@xxxxxxxxx>

May 5 05:05:05 vpn openvpn[11693]: IMPORTANT: OpenVPN's default port
number is now 1194, based on an official port number assignment by
IANA. OpenVPN 2.0-beta16 and earlier used 5000 as the default port.

Muy bueno. But I have a ping-restart of 60 as I wait for the remote
endpoint to come up, and I get this nice message every minute. I didn't
see a way to turn it off in the man page or release notes. Is there
anything other than "verb 0"? Or should I manually set the port?
