I would just ask people to use good judgement and ensure that their 
additions to a thread do not confuse the structure of the thread.

That usually means bottom-posting, but then again it's a judgement call.  
I'm not going to bottom post at the end of a 30k debug dump.

I could certainly post a guideline on the web site -- the problem is that
the kind of people who violate etiquette may not go out of their way to
find the guidelines.
