[Openvpn-users] NetBIOS name resolution

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] NetBIOS name resolution

Hello,

I've recently installed OpenVPN. However, once the VPN is up and running, the name of the machine is resolved to a different IP address.

before OpenVPN is started:
$ ping mymachinename
...
Reply from 192.168.1.102: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
...

after OpenVPN is started: $ ping mymachinename ... Reply from 10.3.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128 ...

Is there anyway I can specify the IP address the name is resolved to?
