I have one problem: On my Windows XP SP2 client, OpenVPN does *not* work unless I explicitly deactivate, then re-activate the TAP-Win32 adapter before starting OpenVPN. If I do this, everything works fine, I can connect (and reconnect many times) without problems. This is the old unexplained mystery of SP2. With me this was caused by Kerio Personal Firewall. After I removed it everything started working again. Disabling firewall wasn't enough. I had to completely uninstall it to get OpenVPN working. This "bug" affects also other network adapters, so even your norman lan card might stop working at some conditions. So check all network related programs and try uninstalling them. (Lots of work and might not even work).
