good thinking. Do you happen to know how the remote desktop connects? what ports? what protocols? what network?

Do you type the name or the ip address of the client? is that the correct address?

is there a firewall somewhere between the networks?

JonB

the remotedesktop connection is based on tcp, with port number 3389
i directly connect to the endpoint ip of the tunnel, in my case 192.10.1.101
This IP seems to be correct as I can ping it and send smb messages to the other PC.
there is no firewall

the endpoint in the corporate network is running servermode
i configured NAT traversal in the router to forward port 5001 which i use to connect the vpn.
there is NO firewall in any of the two networks.

can you telnet from your end to port 3389 on the other end? is remotedesktop running at all? Can you use a vnc solution?
