Below are the options I manually set per adapter on Windows, so all of these would be important to me. Primary DNS Secondary DNS DNS Suffix Pri WINS Sec WINS NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled/disabled/default(on) I also remove the option to manually register ip addr with DNS server but do not see this in the rfc. These options would be fantastic! -----Original Message----- From: James Yonan [mailto:jim@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: 21 February 2004 07:57 To: cperry@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; rsalles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: openvpn-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; Tyrone Omidi; mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: DHCP options, was: Re: [Openvpn-users] Accessing Windows Shares - the beast rears it's ugly head Carl Perry <cperry@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> said: > [...] > I would use > OpenVPN 1.6 and dynamic mode, but there is no way to set the extra > options in the DHCP response (like WINS server, domain name, domain > servers, etc - hint, hint, nudge, nudge) > [...] I'm thinking of adding a feature that would allow DHCP options to be specified on the command line if "--ip-win32 dynamic" mode is being used (Windows only). There are tons and tons of DHCP options however: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2132.txt Which ones would be the most useful?
