Are you sure that the XP machine doesn't have some sort of firewalling

I had no problems with the same setup on either Win2k or XP machines. I
shipped the installer to my Windows users, added the .ovpn and key files
(the only thing that was customized for each user) to the zip file, and
the users had no problem installing/running it on either OS.

Ditto...
I have identical configs running on Win2K, XPPro and Linux connecting to
an Linux firewall.

Hey all,
I managed to cobble together a working Win2k --> linux bridging
configuration for OpenVPN to demo for client, and, stupidly, assumed that
it would work equally well, or at least require only minor tuning, to
operate under XP.
To put it mildly, I was totally wrong. The config I use, which works
perfectly under Win2K, fails totally under XP and I have used all the free
time and mental cycles I have got trying to get it running.
At this point, I have totally blown the client demo, but this aggravates
me enought that I will pay $200.00 for a working XP to Linux server client
configuration. I will then package and release this to this mailing list.
If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to include my Win2K config, which
works with no problems.
I have learned quite a bit about network interfaces while attempting this,
in particular, the sensitivity of higher level protocols to variations in
MTU.
I will send payment by check, Paypal, passenger pidgeon, whatever you
prefer. I am kind of hoping that someone already has this working and can
just take the time to pack up the config files and mail them to us...
Not sure anyone will bite, but if so, let me know by email or by
posting to the list.
