> *This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(tm) Pro* > I have seen several posts on this, but no "real" solutions. I posted so many messages about this issue here and at the cipe maillist that i became +/- bored about that. Possibilities: 1) I give up and tell the people in this thread to use google or search for the topic on this maillist archive, 2) I write myself a OpenVPN&iptables&samba-HowTo and send it to James to evaluate that it "could" - at least - be consider as a "HowTo" candidate at the OpenVPN website. In the case of 1, i regret that sourceforge.net didn't set up a search facility to their maillist page: (http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=8453) There is actually 1263 messages (er, 1264) to search for... In the case of 2), any help would be very appreciated, 'cause my English is poor (my default $LANG is brazillian). Well, i write a little in english, much more better in french and spanish. Because English is the default $LANG in this maillist, i do need some help. James, i think that the job to adapt the win32 API from cipe to OpenVPN is uselles if people don't arrive to learn how to use it. To the newbee is even harder to find where the share fails: At the win32 TAP config, in the firewall or samba. RSalles PS: There are subscribers to this list that symple do not believe that the network browsing function works with OpenVPN and doesn't want to beleive me that it's working here there is 4 months already, as it had worked before with ciped one year and half... > > The gateway server on the network is FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE, running Samba > 2.2.7. > > I am running OpenVPN 1.5.0 with Samba 2.2.7 on a FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE > system as my main server. > I am running OpenVPN 1.5.0 on a Win2K machine as the client > (single-client) > > I have managed to open the VPN tunnel with no difficulties; routing is > not an issue, either.
