[Openvpn-users] DHCP over OpenVPN?

  • Subject: [Openvpn-users] DHCP over OpenVPN?

Hi all,

I've gotten OpenVPN up and working (Linux server, Windows 2000/XP clients) and have the following question:

How exactly do I get the interface on the client side to pick up info via a DHCP server on the server side (in my case, the DHCP server is on the box that OpenVPN is running on as a daemon). Any thoughts? I've looked through the docs and not found anything too concrete on this.

To get Samba access working, I found that I had to add an additional route, to ensure that various broadcasts and connections and things went over the VPN interface (not my net interface). Is this something everyone else encounters?

Regards,

Chris
