I need a little help here. First, I am using my laptop to connect to wireless networks up on campus, which require DHCP to be enabled. I want to use OpenVPN here at home to secure a desktop-laptop adhoc link, but I am not sure how to proceed. Is DHCP even supported by OpenVPN? The network at school requires the use of 802.1x authentication, it uses the Meetinghouse AEGIS client to be specific. Are there any conflicts that could arise between OpenVPN and this software, or just in general between networks at school and home? I would like to know what to do before I proceed. Second concerns firewalling off the adapter. I am not sure exactly how to do this. I know I need to cut off all but UDP 5000. The Windows TCP/IP filtering feature affects all adapters. I have ZoneAlarm on my PC but I haven't been able to get that to work (I tried setting this up before school started, but had to take it off to get networks up on campus to work). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
